Installation & Setup

Shingeki no Craft ships as a datapack (plus an optional mod/packaged version) and requires a resource pack — without it, Titans have no models, textures or sounds.

Caution

Make sure the resource pack and the datapack versions match. A mismatched pair can cause missing models or sounds.

Installing the datapack

1. Open Minecraft and click Play.
2. Select Worlds and choose the world you want to install the datapack into.
3. Click Edit for that world.
4. In World Settings, scroll to Datapacks and click Open Folder.
5. Copy the datapack file into that folder.
6. Return to World Settings → Datapacks and click Add, then select the datapack.
7. A warning about “not having the correct version” may appear — continue normally.
8. Verify it appears in the installed datapacks list.

Installing the resource pack

1. Download the resource pack file.
2. Open Minecraft and click Play.
3. Select Options → Resource Packs.
4. Click Open Resource Pack Folder and copy the pack into it.
5. Back in Resource Packs, select the pack and move it to Selected Resource Packs.
6. A version warning may appear — continue normally.

Recommended mods

• [Highly recommended] OptiFine (Forge) or Custom Entity Models (CEM) (Fabric) — used to stop Titan models from wobbling. See OptiFine / CEM.
• [Recommended] Pehkui — improves the third-person camera when playing as shifters (especially the Colossal Titan). Single-player by default; must be configured for servers.

Configuration & commands

Current API (2.x)

Use /function snc:api/config to customise the game. Get every item with /function snc:api/all_items, and use other /function snc:api/... commands for testing. See Commands for the full list.

Older versions

The Notion wiki documents /function snc:auxiliar/config for the kill-reset setting. That is the legacy 1.x / 2.0 path: snc:api/config is already present in the 2.1 datapack, so the change predates 2.1.
