ODM Gear
The Omni-Directional Mobility (ODM) gear is the Survey Corps’ signature tool. It fires hooks to grapple through the air and uses ultrahard steel blades to strike a Titan’s nape.
Core mechanics
Section titled “Core mechanics”- Blades break on use and must be reloaded. Since 2.2.4, reloading is done by holding a charge in the main hand while ODM is in the off hand (moved from crafting).
- The ODM can load up to 6 blades (since 2.2.4).
- ODM Mode Selection — right-click + sneak to toggle modes (since 2.2.4).
- Gas System — introduced in 2.2.4 alongside the Iceburst Stone.
- You can only reload the ODM while standing on the ground (since 2.2.4).
- Reinforced ODM — an upgrade obtained via a smithing table (since 2.2.4).
- Hooks return to the player and have a finite range (~40 blocks, since 2.2.2), and give 1 second of levitation when thrown.
